Jen Craun is a professional artist working primarily in printmaking, artist book, and mixed-media works on paper. She exhibits widely in the region, and is in dozens of permanent collections. Her art is often placed in spaces of hospitality, and she enjoys that her work can provide a spot of hopeful introspection especially in the numerous hospital locations where her work is included. She is a teaching artist with 20+ years experience delivering artist residencies to all ages in the Cleveland Public Schools through Arts nonprofits including Art House + Arts Impact. Craun has 10+ years experience teaching college courses such as Art Experiences, Printmaking, and Artist Book at the Cleveland Institute of Art. She consults to various Arts Education non-profits offering programming support, including coaching teaching artists, delivering in-services, developing artist educator handbooks and training modules, and assessment development. Craun is a specialist in arts education, arts-integration (STEAM), and has experience in Social and Emotional Learning (SEL), and adaptive teaching strategies. Craun got her professional start at Zygote Press, where she honed both her printmaking and arts education programming skills following graduation from Kent State University with a BA in Art Education, and an MFA in printmaking. She spent a decade at Zygote Press moving from Database Manager to Associate Director, and maintained a studio practice there throughout and following.
