Reports to: Director of Volunteer and Guest Services

Compensation: Part-time, hourly, $12-16/hr.

Customer Service Associate/ Front of House Operations Team Member

The Customer Service team serves as the central hub of information and hospitality for Beck Center for the Arts. Working across both buildings on campus, this team ensures patrons, students, artists, and staff receive accurate information and exceptional service. This team must be aware of current events happening across campus and adapt quickly to changing needs. Must have strong Customer Service skills. Open availability preferred and should align with our busiest times such as nights and weekends.

Key Responsibilities

·         Support educational programs and camps, including class registration, schedule changes, student transfers, and late enrollments.

·         Maintain campus-wide awareness of events, rehearsals, performances, classes and special activities using scheduling tools such as Skedda and internal communications.

·         Support operation across three performance spaces, each with unique schedules and seating arrangements.

·         Assist with 6-7 Professional Theatrical Productions annually, each with 17-21 performances requiring ticketing, front-of-house coordination and patron support.

·         Support Youth Theater and Dance programs, including four youth theater productions and 3-4 dance productions each year.

·         Assist with community events such as Super Saturday, school field trips, art exhibits, and donor appreciation events, including registration and on-site support.

Navigating the Unexpected

This role requires flexibility and strong problem-solving skills. Team members regularly resolve seating issues, manage unpredictable phone and in-person inquiries, and respond to unusual or last-minute requests with patience, professionalism and care—ensuring that every patron feels respected and supported.
